ReelAbilities Opening Night: Keep the Change & Mimi and Dona

This event is opening night of the ReelAbilities Film Festival.

Keep the Change: A coming-of-age love story about a wealthy young man with social disorders who meets a woman at a group for people with intellectual disabilities.

Mimi and Dona: For 92 year-old mother, Mimi, who for 64 years has cared for Dona, her daughter who has an intellectual disability, aging means facing the fact that she will not outlive her daughter, The film spotlights the challenges of aging caregivers of people with disabilities and details the ripple effects of Dona's disability on three generations of a Texas family.

Reception at 6:30 p.m., program starts at 7 p.m.
