The Rink at Discovery Green
This spring, Houston’s only outdoor roller rink returns to Discovery Green! The Rink offers fun for all ages and is perfect for creating memorable moments under Houston's iconic downtown skyline.
Proceeds support the Discovery Green Conservancy and its mission to maintain the park and provide free cultural planning.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Thursday, 5-10 p.m.
Friday, 5-11 p.m.
Saturday and HISD school holidays: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
-Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased online and in advance here. Tickets will not be available for purchase on-site. Please purchase tickets before paying for parking. If weather forces the closure of the rink, ticket holders will be emailed and allowed to reschedule.

Enjoy music by Soul Control featuring DJ Elevated and Mookie Copeland serving up quality eclectic musical experiences! The Daisies & Pancakes skate community & skate instructors will showcase their epic talents. The first 50 skaters in line skate for free!
Screening at The Rink:
Saturday, Mar 1, 7 – 8:30 pm
In celebration of Black History month, Discovery Green will screen the documentary United Skates, a 2018 documentary about African-American roller-skating culture. Directed by Dyana Winkler and Tina Brown, the film explores America’s last standing roller rinks threatened with closures as thousands battle in a racially-charged environment to save an underground subculture.
Cheap Skate Nights at The Rink
Mondays, Feb. 24, Mar. 3, 17, 24 & April 7; 5 – 10 pm
On select Mondays, gather all your thrifty friends to fill the rink for just $7 plus tax per person. Enjoy an upbeat playlist and plenty of laughs while rolling ‘round the rink.
Two for Tuesdays at The Rink
Tuesdays, Feb. 25, Mar. 4,18, 25, April 1 & 8; 5 – 10 pm
Grab your BFF and hit the rink. Buy one rink admission at $14 and get the second for FREE!
Afterwards, treat yourselves to two soft serve ice creams for the price of one at the Lake House!
School Spirit Nights at The Rink
Thursdays, Feb. 27, Mar. 6, 20, 27, Apr. 3 & 10; 5 – 10 pm
On Thursdays, students of all ages are encouraged to rally to the rink and showcase your school pride. Show your current school ID to receive $2 off admission.
Happy Friday, Happy Hour at The Rink
Fridays, Feb. 28, Mar. 7, 21, 28, April 4, & 11; 5 – 11 pm
Rally your crew to celebrate the start of the weekend. Roller skating makes for the happiest Friday nights. Arrive anytime between 5 and 7 pm and receive happy hour pricing: $2 off admission.
Superhero Saturdays at The Rink
Saturdays, Feb. 22 & Mar. 15; 12 – 3 pm
Skate with your favorite costumed characters from books, cartoons and movies. Purchase your tickets early and bring a camera for photo ops.

Sunday Fun Days with Daisies and Pancakes
Sundays, Feb. 23, Mar. 9, 23 & April 6; 11 am – 12 pm
The Daisies and Pancakes Lab will be serving up lessons to skaters both young and old to improve their skills so they can have even more fun on wheels! Learn tips and tricks from their instructors about maintaining balance, falling properly and ways to glide across the floor.

Purchase of tickets for the rink is required and will include your skate rental.
Lessons require pre-registration and prepayment are required. All lessons are family friendly. People ages from 5 and older are invited to participate.
Tobe Nwigwe Night Listening Party at The Rink
Thursday, April 3; 7 – 9 pm
Houston is invited to celebrate the homecoming of visionary, artist, entrepreneur, actor and musician: Tobe Nwigwe. Join fellow fans of the Alief-raised phenom on the rink for a night of music and dance on wheels. Wear mint-green and receive $2 off admission. The rapper brings his brand of faith, family and fashion to the 713 Music Hall on Saturday, April 5. Attendees of Tobe Nwigwe Night at The Rink can register to win one of two pairs of tickets to Saturday’s show.
Khruangbin Listening Party at The Rink
Wednesday, April 9; 7 – 9 pm
Get excited for Khruangbin’s return to Houston with a listening party at The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green. The trio’s diverse and eclectic cinematic mix of genre-defying, world building sound was created in the Houston melting pot. Recently nominated by the Grammy’s for Best New Artist, the group will play the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on April 12. Attendees of Khruangbin Listening Party at The Rink can register to win either a pair of tickets or a Khruangbin x Houston merchandise pack including a signed art print and limited edition A LA SALA tour merch.
