Sawyer Yards Second Saturday

Sawyer Yards is excited to welcome the public back to campus for Second Saturday Open Studios on Saturday, June 13 from 12-5pm. Guests are invited to spend the afternoon wandering through Sawyer Yards' six studio buildings and discover an extensive selection of painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, clothing, mixed media and more.  During this time, visitors will be able to meet some of the 350+ artists, learn about their work and add a new piece to their collection. With an outdoor market, The Market at Sawyer Yards, breweries and fitness facilities all around, it's easy to spend your entire day at Sawyer Yards on the second Saturday of each month.

A community-based, interactive art installation will be on display during Second Saturday. Winter Street artists Lisa Morales and Stacy Gresell started "The Thought Hive" in their #C-6 studio at Winter Street. These ladies both use collage in their art, so they had a bunch of old books and chicken wire in their studio. They invited friends and art fans to stop by or send them a short note about their thoughts on how they're doing during the COVID-19 isolation. They started the project in early March and to date have collected 400+ submissions to the hive. They will have their studio open on Saturday and are encouraging art lovers to come and contribute their thoughts to the installation.
