SEBAS Foundation 's Live Fire Event
The SEBAS Foundation, which helps refugees with job placement, financial assistance, mentorships, and community resources, will host its Live Fire Event on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at The Cannon West Houston. This one-of-a-kind culinary event sponsored by Karviva Beverages and Goya Foods will feature renowned chefs, culinary brands, tasting stations, a live demo and wine pairing, as well as live and silent auctions, in order to support the SEBAS Foundation’s programs for refugees in the Greater Houston area.
Live Fire will be taking place on the last day of the 40 Acre Conference, a minority financial equity conference that teaches underprivileged children to read. Supporter of the 40 Acre Conference Michael V. Roberts, a well-known author and entrepreneur, will be in attendance to support the SEBAS Foundation’s initiative. The evening will include a special appearance from NFL Arizona Cardinals player, Jesse Luketa.
Kicking off the festive fête, attendees will arrive for a cocktail social hour where they will mingle with celebrity chef, Chef Sunny Vohra, while dining on delectable appetizers. Following the meet and greet, guests will indulge in a three-course meal, during which celebrity chefs will perform enchanting demonstrations. The night will culminate in a live auction while celebrity artist, Ange Hillz, showcases his mesmerizing speed painting skills. The event will close with an awards ceremony accompanied by the final course of the night.
This year, the SEBAS Foundation hopes to raise around $100,000 to support their initiative of benefiting refugees. Proceeds from the event will go towards SEBAS Foundation's entrepreneurship programs, which support refugees in gaining skills, finding employment and starting their own businesses. The SEBAS Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Jennifer Sebasigari whose mission is to help alleviate some of the challenges refugees and displaced people face during one of the most crucial times in their lives.
