The Story of Chocolate: From Maya to Modern

Join Elizabeth Escobedo, culinary instructor and food writer, for a brief history of chocolate and learn about cacao beans and the variety of ways that this "food of the gods" can be used as a culinary ingredient.  She'll trace the historical use of chocolate from the Aztecs and Mayans to modern cuisine.

An intoxicating meal follows as you make: Spinach & Tangerine Salad with Chocolate-Balsamic Vinaigrette & Toasted Almonds; Cocoa-crusted Beef Tenderloin with Raspberry Reduction; Roasted Maple Baby Carrots; and Mexican Chocolate Cake with Kahlua Ganache & Bittersweet Chocolate Shavings.
