StoryWalk Houston's Holiday Installation: 'Pick a Pine Tree'
Visit Whitt Johnson Park at 6540 Wakeforest for StoryWalk Houston’s holiday installment, Pick a Pine Tree, through Dec. 24. Pick a Pine Tree celebrates the traditions and rituals around choosing and decorating a Christmas tree with family and friends. Read more about the story behind StoryWalk Houston here.
A StoryWalk is a children’s picture book that has been taken apart and is presented page-by-page along an outdoor path. Visitors follow the signs, reading the story as they go. They end the trail as they end the book. StoryWalk promotes early literacy, physical activity and family time together outdoors. Story Walks are free and self-guided. For more information, visit StoryWalkHouston.com. The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
