Explore the traditions and meaning behind the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday through stories, dances, and crafts. Look forward to a storytime and make your own craft mooncakes!

Start the day with all-ages crafts celebrating Mid-Autumn traditions — including traditional lanterns, playdough mooncakes, and bunny fans inspired by the Jade Rabbit folktale — as well as a scavenger hunt.

Learn about the legend of the moon goddess Chang'e through a performance presented by the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), then enjoy a lively Techno Prince dance blending traditional and modern elements.

The event concludes with a theatrical play depicting the mythical origins of the Mid-Autumn Festival, presented by the Houston Hanfu Association, and a colorful poetry performance by the North American Poetry Group.
