The Truffle Masters 2018
Houston’s top culinary talent will prepare truffle-infused dishes in a heated competition featuring guest judges. Confirmed chefs currently include: Jose Ruiz from a’Bouzy; Ryan Bouillet from A Fare Extraordinaire; Luis Roger from BCN Taste & Tradition; Robert Del Grande from Cafe Annie; Jason Kohler from Central Market; Jesse Cavazos from Cru; Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House; David Skinner from Eculent; Philippe Verpiand from Étoile Cuisine et Bar; Edel Goncalves from Fielding’s Local itchen+Bar; Austin Simmons from Hubbell & Hudson; Teddy Lopez from Killen’s STQ; La Table; David Denis from Le Mistral; Lance Fegen from Liberty Kitchen; Danny Trace from Potente; Ryan Lachaine from Riel; Jeff Taylor from
Steak 48; Richard Kaplan from Weights & Measures; Ho Chee Boon from Yauatcha.
The event will take place at The Astorian, Mon., Jan. 29, 2018 with a VIP Cocktail Reception, 6-7 p.m. featuring lite bites provided by The Truffle Masters reigning champion Chef Manabu “Hori” Horiuchi from Kata Robata and the culinary event, 7-10 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit Casa de Esperanza de Los Ninos - House of Hope for Children in Houston. Casa de Esperanza is a safe place for children in crisis due to abuse, neglect or the effects of HIV. Casa provides residential care, and coordinates medical and
psychological services according to the needs of each child.
