This fall, Discovery Green will unveil The TUNNEL by Big Art, a large-scale, interactive art installation that takes visitors through a cosmic adventure. 

A series of 12-foot-tall structures are arranged to form a 100-foot-long tunnel of magical light and sound. Parkgoers serve as “pilots” and use an interactive device to manipulate the array, creating an infinite number of patterns of light and sound guiding your path through the structures. Over 150 LED bars are pixel-mapped to create a vortex of light, pulling visitors through the travel path. The TUNNEL is on view Sept. 5-Oct. 5.

Thurs., Sept. 5, 6-8 p.m. 
The TUNNEL’s creator, Paul Magnuson of BIG ART, discusses the interactive temporary art installation’s creation and other exciting projects. Discovery Green’s inaugural Art Lab fellows will be announced. Drinks and mingling start at 6 p.m followed by the artist talk at 7 p.m.
