2023 Memorial Villages' Independence Day Parade
Residents of the Memorial Villages started their Fourth of July at the Villages Independence Parade this morning. The Fun Run and Bike Ride, hosted by the Memorial Villages Police Department, kicked off the July Fourth festivities. The runners and bikers were followed by a procession of red, white, and blue floats.
Residents and community leaders decked out their vehicles in patriotic decor, throwing candy and beads to parade attendees who lined the streets. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #879 along with armored and camo cars paid homage to those who have served our country.
The Villages Fire Department took up the caboose of the parade, playing their sirens and lights for all the onlookers. Smiles, cheers, and lots of candy made this parade a hit!
