Dog Days at Discovery Green

DockDogs, canine athletes from Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana competing in jumping events, returns to Discovery Green this weekend. The festivities include a doggie costume contest (3 p.m. on Saturday) and more. See the details. 

Houston Hot Sauce Festival 

The spicier, the better? If you love all things spicy, be sure to head to The Houston Hot Sauce Festival to check out products like hot sauce, sasa, marinades, jams and jellies, dips and more. There will be vendors from all over the country, bands, children’s booths and more. The festival benefits the Snowdrop Foundation, which raises money for pediatric cancer patients. See the details.

Texans Running of the Bulls

The fifth annual 5k winds throughout NRG Park with Texans mascot Toro and cheerleaders to root on participants. There’s also a kids 1k. See the details.

Astros vs. Athletics

Houston Vintage Market and Festival 

Head to the Air Terminal Museum and Hangar for the Houston Vintage Market and Festival this weekend, which includes the MS. Houston Vintage Pageant.
