Event Roundup: What to Look Forward to This Week
Happy New Year (almost)! This week, we’re rounding up events a little early in light of New Year’s. Here are some fun events to consider for New Year’s Eve and for over the weekend. We wish you and your families a happy, healthy New Year!
Rockin’ New Year’s Noon
Celebrate the New Year with the whole family at the Children’s Museum of Houston with Rockin’ New Year’s Noon. This festive event rings in the New Year at the stroke of noon with a parade and countdown to the ball drop, and kids don’t have to stay up till midnight to celebrate. Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl
Root for the University of Houston, who’s playing Florida State University in Atlanta for the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. Watch on ESPN, starting at 11 a.m. Go, Coogs!
New Year’s Eve at CityCentre
Ring in the New Year at CityCentre beginning at 7 p.m. Look forward to a DJ in the plaza, a fireworks show and fun events from restaurants, retailers and lounges in CityCentre. See more details.
Houston FirstSM Presents New Year’s Eve
The B52’s will set the stage for a fun, festive New Year’s Eve at the city’s free, family-friendly night of celebration throughout Houston’s Theater District. Bring the kids for an early New Year’s celebration in the Family Zone on Jones Plaza for dancing, games, activities and costumed characters. Adults are welcome to toast the end of the year in the Bubbly Garden for dancing and a lounge area. Look forward to a fireworks finale and lots of fun and entertainment. See more details.
The H-Town Countdown 2016
The 21+ crowd is welcome to Houston’s Silver Street Studio for a night full of music, entertainment and spirits. Houston’s 104.1 KRBE DJ Tony Styles & Dj Bizonee will help the crowd ring in the New Year. This year’s headlining act is the internationally known DJ: A-Trak. Tickets include an open bar, breakfast buffet and a midnight champagne toast. Also look forward to flying aerialists, confetti, a balloon drop and special prizes throughout the night. New Year’s Eve Carnaval
