Monkeyed around

When pals Mandy Shefman and Jennifer Weatherwax took a discounted trip to Costa Rica during the rainy season, they were surprised the sky was sunny the whole time. Waterfalls and botanical gardens at the Xandari Resort and Spa helped to leave work behind. Mandy planted a tree there five years ago and marveled that it was taller than her now. They took a Nature Air flight in a small plane to Quepos and walked to the public beach daily. At the Manual Antonio Park they saw lots of monkeys, sloths and other creatures. A zipline tour and a Calypso Cruise to an island for water sports were water-ful.
