Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration at Rothko Chapel

Head to the Rothko Chapel to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The celebration begins with a ceremony to welcome the return of the Broken Obelisk by Barnett Newman with a year away for conservation. There will be words by public officials, poetry readings, refreshments, and a talk by American commentary, novelist and journalism Leonard Pitts, Jr.
