Cuba!

Marjo and J.W. Leussink spent a week in Cuba on the second direct flight from Houston. When the tour guide told them to walk in the middle of the street because it was easier to see the cars coming than a balcony falling down, they knew they were in for surprises. They stayed in an exquisite private home that had been converted to a boutique hotel with gardens and staff. Highlights included a redeveloped factory turned into a multimedia experience called Fabrica de Arte Cubano, an orchid botanical garden, tobacco farm, Vinales and Varadero beaches and a Cuban night club that started at 1 a.m.
