Society for the Performing Arts 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration

Society for the Performing Arts will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a Gala: The Greatest Shows on Earth, April 1, Wortham Theater. Co-Chairs Stephany Olsen LeGrand and Curt Karges, and Janet and Bill Swanstrom, along with Honorary Chairs Katherine and Paul Murphy and Sharon and Tim Taylor, are planning the bash of the season. The gala will honor Marc and Brenda Watts for their dedication and hard work to SPA. Look forward to a whimsical circus setting for the evening, including a gourmet dinner, exclusive silent and live auctions and entertainment by Skyrocket!

The SPA Gala is one of the highlights of the Houston social season and will be a fun and festive evening supporting the arts. Marking the occasion of its Golden Anniversary, the gala will celebrate 50 years of “bringing the world’s best to Houston,” with a look back at the iconic performances of SPA’s five-decade legacy as well as looking to the future of the performing arts. 

Proceeds will further SPA’s mission in presenting the world’s best artists and performances to Houston audiences and in expanding award-winning Education and Community Engagement programs, which reach over 70,000 students and educators each year.
