Forty Years of Families Luncheon

Join Spaulding for Children on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 as we host our Forty Years of Families Luncheon, celebrating 40 years of transforming the lives of children in foster care through adoption. This year’s luncheon will be chaired by Robin Klaes and Tany Jeter Klaes and will be held at the Houston Country Club.

We’re thrilled to welcome past luncheon host, Frank Billingsley, KPRC 2’s Chief Meteorologist, as our keynote speaker. Frank, who is adopted, recently wrote a book, SWABBED & FOUND: An Adopted Man’s DNA Journey to the Truth, which will be published this spring. We are excited to have Frank’s KPRC 2 colleague and Emmy award-winning anchor, Dominique Sachse, serve as this year’s luncheon host.

For 40 years, Spaulding for Children has provided foster care, adoption and post adoption services, at no cost, for children in protective custody of the state and their adoptive families. Since its inception in 1977, Spaulding for Children has placed over 2,000 children in adoptive homes, enabling them to experience the joys of childhood in a loving family and giving them opportunities for a brighter future.
