Natasha Gonzalez (pictured), a graduate of St. John’s School, won the Women’s Open Singles Championship at the Cotton Bowl Classic tennis tournament held in Dallas. The Cotton Bowl is one of the oldest tournaments sanctioned by the Texas section of the USTA. Despite being unseeded, Natasha won five matches over three days without dropping a set. In the final, she defeated Farmer Branch's Rachel Janssen, the No. 1-ranked women's open singles player in Texas. Natasha is a freshman at Harvard University, where she plays on the varsity tennis team.
