Amos, age 12

My name is Amos. I live with my mom, dad and cousin. My human brother used to live with us but now he lives in a flat screen. My mom played ball with me constantly when I was young. I wonder if she knows I dream about that open field. I think she does because my legs move and suddenly I’m back there running as fast as I can. My dad makes me feel so safe. Each morning he lets me lie on his chest while he reads the paper. Andi, my cousin, came to live with us when I was 6. As a puppy, she was obnoxious. Now, we’re inseparable. I love my human brother most. When he lived in our house, we wrestled, chased and went for runs. One day he left. Now each Sunday we talk to him on Skype. I speak willingly on his command to show him that I miss and love him. He’ll be home again soon. I’m one lucky dog.
