Great games

A recent weekend trip to Brenham was sweet for the Lamar Texans baseball team, as they went 5-0 in their tournament. They played two games on the Thursday leading up to the weekend, two games Friday, and one last one on Saturday. Among the Texan team members were Owen Holt, first base and pitcher, Michael Streitmann, pitcher, and Connor Franey, outfielder. Lamar trounced some great teams and came out with some wins, defeating Santa Fe 2-0, Brenham 3-2, Bryan 7-3, Georgetown 5-1 and Coppell 9-5. Coppell was No. 3 in the 6A pre-season rankings.
