Houston Chapter of Hadassah President Sandra Smith and other volunteers are excited to kick off a new program. Melissa Poteet and Allison Levine are co-chairing the upcoming event this month Breast Strokes: Hadassah Bares All for A.R.T (Awareness, Research, and Treatment). It begins with Paint Day on June 25, when a group of women, including some breast-cancer survivors, will gather at the Jewish Community Center to volunteer to have their torsos painted and photographed for a future art auction that will raise money for breast cancer research and education. The event is being sponsored by Bellaire Dermatology and Meyerland Animal Clinic. Local artists and photographers are volunteering their time for the cause. Hadassah is a large volunteer organization. It has nearly 5,000 members in Houston. For more information, contact [email protected] or 713-661-1022.
