Little Lady Bugs
The West University Softball Association’s Lady Bugs (pictured) are enjoying their first season on the field. Four-year-olds Georgia Turner and Lawler Booth, 5-year-old Allie Solcher, 6-year-old Riley Werner and 5-year-old Molly Lipp are all smiles and loved the season’s opening parade and carnival. The girls played with their friends and learned the game, and their parents were involved and had almost as much fun. Georgia says she loves to hit off the tee, run the bases and have her daddy as the head coach. The hardworking Lady Bugs’ practice paid off about four games into the season when they finally got their first out. Coach Chris Turner taught them the basics and used the perfect motivation: a lollipop at the end of each practice.
