Every Purpose Under Heaven

This weekend the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, directed by Sid Davis, and First Presbyterian Chancel Choir, directed by John Yarrington collaborate to present British composer Howard Goodall’s “Every Purpose Under the Heaven." Also called “The King James Bible Oratorio,” this multi-movement work that was commissioned to mark the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible and was first performed in November 2011 at Westminster Abbey.
