Happy Friday! Here are some fun events going on this weekend to consider:
Celebration of Hope
Bring your families to Holocaust Museum Houston for a “Celebration of Hope” on Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The family-friendly event is part of the free admission weekend before the museum closes July 24 and relocates during its $33.8 million expansion. Activities include live music, food truck, poetry readings, kids’ butterfly art activities and face painting, interactive murals, live art demonstrations and more.
The Houston Dash vs. Boston Breakers
Cheer on the Houston Dash as they take on the Boston Breakers at BBVA Compassion Stadium. The game is on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and ticket prices are between $17 to $75.
Houston World Series of Dog Shows
Enjoy the 40th Anniversary of the Houston World Series of Dog Shows at NRG Center through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 7 a.m. Shows include dog races through obstacle courses, frisbee catching and clinics to learn about dog health. Dog lovers of all ages will enjoy seeing talented dogs compete learn a little about their furry friends.
King Kong
Classic movie fans will enjoy watching King Kong this Saturday, 8 p.m. at Main Street Square. Admission is free and food trucks and drinks will be available.
Sunday Family Zone
Families are invited to come to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston to enjoy games, activities, books and mini-tours of the galleries. Each Sunday offers two storybook circles: one at 1:30 p.m. and another one at 3 p.m. The recommended age for children is 3 years and older.
