Preparing for an Eclipse Workshop
The Children’s Museum of Houston is hosting a Preparing for an Eclipse Workshop on Saturday. Learn about the solar eclipse and how to view them safely. During the workshop, your family will learn how to construct your won Solar Eclipse Pin-hole Viewer. Sessions take place at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (See more on the eclipse, where to watch it this Monday and where to obtain safety glasses, here.)
Summer Flea Market
Head to Silver Street Studios for their Summer Flea (in the air conditioning) this Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Browse collectibles, jewelry, vintage clothes, home décor, art, artisan products, plus local food vendors, food trucks, a pet adoption event, music and a bar.
Texans vs. Patriots Preseason
Texans will match off against the Patriots this Saturday, 7 p.m. at NRG. This will be the preseason rematch of last year’s playoff game. Go Texans!
Summer Movie Series at Main Street Square
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! See this classic on Saturday evening at Main Street Square starting at 8 p.m.
Sunday Family Zone at MFAH
The Museum of Fine Arts is hosting their Family Zone this Sunday, 1-4 p.m., which will include family-friendly games, activities, books and mini-tours of the galleries. This event will include an exploration of the work of Pipilotti Rist.
