Saved her life

The Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation hosted its 16th Annual Luncheon with celebrity guest speaker, Joan Lunden, former co-host of ABC’s Good Morning America. Over 750 guests listened spellbound to her battle against breast cancer. Her big “Take Away” was to ask your mammogram technician if you need a test for dense breast. Proceeds from the luncheon benefit breast cancer research in the Houston area, and a donation of $105,000 was presented to four research institutions. Applauding were Amy Bernstein, Ilona Carson, Chita Craft, Katherine Stewart, Maria Oakum, Valerie Holladay and Elaine Turner.
