Maggie
My name is Maggie, and I’m a purebred Golden Retriever. I’m not sure what being a purebred means. I’m neither proud nor ashamed of it. I am who I am, a cute, sometimes mischievous, 2-year-old doggie. One day when I was just a puppy, I chewed off one of the tassels of my owner’s loafers. He apparently thought it was a good idea. He cut off one of the tassels of the other loafer. I like it when my owners’ granddaughter visits. She shares her lunch with me by handing me food bites from her highchair or tossing them on the floor. One of my favorite pastimes is napping, though this is difficult when my owners put a silly red bandana around my neck and force me to watch their college alma mater play a football game on TV. Their yelling and shouting and sometimes moaning keep me awake. See you around.
