Barkley, age 7

I may look like a puppy, but I am actually an 8-year-old terrier mix. My mom adopted me five years ago from Austin Dog Alliance. I was living in a foster home with some other small dogs after being abandoned. I am so happy my mom adopted me. We have now lived together for five years. We live close to a dog park, my favorite place. I know I am small, but I love to play on the big doggies’ side. I totally fit in, but I don’t understand why they go in the pools – water is not my thing. I also love driving in the car and going to pet stores and even restaurants with my mom and her friends. If you ever see me out, come say hi. I love everyone from kids to other dogs. I won’t bite, but be careful – I will for sure lick your face!
