Chicken with Wild Rice
From Houston Junior League Cookbook
Ingredients:
1 box (6 oz.) Uncle Ben’s Long Grain and Wild Rice
1 chicken (2½–3 lbs.)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
1 can condensed onion soup
1 soup can water
Recipe directions:
Pour packet of rice and packet of enclosed seasoning into baking pan. Cut chicken into pieces and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place chicken pieces, skin side up, on top of rice. Combine soup and water and pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, in 375-degree oven for 1 hour. Serves 4.
