Rodeo Time 

Rodeo season is in full swing. Visit RodeoHouston for a wide range of family fun (and, of course, food). The entertainment lineup this weekend includes: Leon Bridges on Friday, Kelsea Ballerini on Saturday and Alessia Cara on Sunday. See the RodeoHouston site for more details. 

83rd Annual Azalea Trail 

Take a moment to stop and smell the azaleas. River Oaks Garden Club is hosting its 83rd Annual Azalea Trail, which takes place at four private River Oaks residences, Bayou Bend Home and Gardens, Rienzi and River Oaks Garden Club’s Forum of Civics Building. Enjoy the trail Fri.-Sun., 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Rink at Discovery Green 

Enjoy a fun throwback to disco days with The Rink at Discovery Green this month. The outdoor roller rink, now open through March 25, returns to Discovery Green with skating and fun weekly programming. The rink opens this evening and Friday’s festivities include live music from Skyrocket! The Band, a demo by Roller Derby Girls and more.

Houston Symphony Presents The Oscars: Best Original Songs 

Get in the spirit of award season at the Symphony on Friday and Saturday evenings. Hear some of the Oscars’ best original songs including “Over the Rainbow” (1939); “Moon River” (1962); “The Way We Were” (1973); “Beauty and the Beast” (1991); “Falling Slowly” (2007); “Let it Go” (2013); and “Writing’s on the Wall” (2015).

Chalk on the Block 

Local artists will gather around Bagby Park to create colorful, unique sidewalk art on Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
