Cyndy Garza Roberts, Diane Englet, Gwen Emmett and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett (pictured, from left), along with 300 other supporters, gathered at Hotel ZaZa Museum District for the 11th annual Making a Difference Luncheon, benefiting El Centro de Corazón (El Centro), which addresses healthcare issues in the community. Englet and Garza Roberts chaired the event, which raised over $120,000. Leisa Holland-Nelson and Leila Perrin were the honorary chairs. Art Rascon of KTRK ABC13 emceed. A first-time award, the 2018 Champion Award was presented to Emmett and his wife Gwen for their work in the Houston community.
