Whale of a 23-day trip

MOM-SON ADVENTURE Jason Files and mom Barbara Files got to go under a waterfall in Iceland, near a film location for the series Game of Thrones.

Jason Files and mom Barbara Files visited Houston friends Amy and Brad Richards in London and tennis friend Vivienne Holmes in Surrey before going to the storybook wedding of Jason’s former au pair, Britta, in Fyn, Denmark, home to Hans Christian Andersen. As Britta and Swedish Anders exited the chapel, bagpipes played and the couple climbed into a tiny wagon pulled by a mini-pony to go to the castle. All the villagers waved Danish flags as they lined the street from the church to the castle. Guests followed in cars, also waving Danish and Swedish flags. The Files’ last adventure was a hike in Iceland on a 12-hour tour of the magical Snæfellsnes Peninsula to the tops of volcanoes and inside a waterfall near a film location for Game of Thrones.
