Texas Children's Hospital Presents The Polar Express at Levy Park
Texas Children’s Hospital presents the 2004 hit The Polar Express, based on Chris Van Allsburg’s beloved children’s book, for Family Movie Night at Levy Park on Nov. 30. Written, produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film features human characters animated using live action motion capture animation. On Christmas Eve, a young boy embarks on a wondrous trip aboard a powerful, magical train to the North Pole called the Polar Express. What unfolds is an adventure which follows a doubting hero boy on a journey of self-discovery, revealing to him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe, while learning about friendship, bravery and the spirit of Christmas. Tom Hanks plays six distinct roles in the movie, including the conductor and Santa Claus.
Family Movie Night is on the last Friday of each month. Guests are encouraged to dress in their pajamas. No outside furniture is allowed, but blankets or park chairs can be used.
Guests can enjoy food and beverage service from 5-9 p.m. from Coffee Q! Well-known on the streets of Houston, Coffee-Q features a Qold Brew coffee made from a 15-hour infusion of Guatemalan roasted beans uniquely presented with a twist of international influences. In addition to their signature brisket and pulled pork ‘Q (BBQ), holiday food and beverage options will be available.
