Champion wolf pack
The St. Francis Episcopal Day School Wolves golf team (pictured) dominated the Sharpstown Park course to earn the 2019 Houston Junior Preparatory Conference title. The boys’ team won and defended their title with a strong 25-shot margin over rivals from The Kinkaid School, River Oaks Baptist School, St. John’s School and Annunciation Orthodox School. Eighth grader Jaivir Pande was at the top of the leaderboard, as first medalist, after shooting a 65 for the day. Coach Ted Lakoski praised his team after the victory. “For our boys to defend their HJPC championship title speaks to long hours on the green and true teamwork,” he said. The winning golfers are (from left) Bradley O’Donnell, Ford Montgomery, Teddy Lakoski, Gus Montgomery and Jaivir Pande.
