Movie on the roof
Approximately 100 supporters of Camp Aranzazu gathered for a beautiful evening at Houston’s Rooftop Cinema Club. The Rooftop Cinema Club’s open-air theater was the perfect venue to celebrate the start of summer and the arrival of the first group of more than 900 campers. Against the backdrop of the Houston skyline, guests enjoyed cocktails, s’mores and gourmet hotdogs from Good Dog. Camp chair Bobby Hatcher welcomed the guests, and president Virginia Ballard updated the crowd on the camp’s recovery after Hurricane Harvey. Some of the Houston groups that enjoy time at Camp Aranzazu include The Tuttle School at Briarwood, the Parish School, Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital’s Renal Department, Impact a Hero and Aspire Accessories. Camp Aranzazu, located in Rockport, serves children and adults with special needs and chronic illnesses and was founded by Houstonians Holly and Tom Forney.
