Event Roundup: What to Look Forward to This Weekend

Well, we’ve officially made it all the way through June and the fourth of July (how did that happen)!? Here are some fun events to keep you busy this weekend. 

Christmas In July 5K
This 5K run or walk is perfect for Christmas fanatics or anyone looking to break a sweat! The run will go through downtown Houston and proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army of Greater Houston. 

GCVA Red White n Volleyball Tournament 
The Gulf Coast Volleyball Association is hosting their annual volleyball tournament in Galveston this weekend! You can enter alone or as a team. 

Houston Margarita Crawl 
This event is perfect for any margarita-lovers out there! Go on a bar crawl through Houston trying margaritas from different locations at a discounted price. You must be 21 and bring a valid ID to attend this event.  

Summer Block Party in The Woodlands
For some entertainment, head to The Woodlands to see Jill Scott, Boyz II Men, Faith Evans, and Lucky Daye at the popular Summer Block Party event. 

Kids Day at Minute Maid Park  
Bring your kids to the Astros game this Sunday for tons of fun! Get there early to enjoy pre-game activities and stay after to run the bases. 

Summer Block Party 
Head over to Levy Park this Sunday to enjoy food trucks, live music, bubble stations, face painting, and other activities at this family-friendly event. July's Summer Block Party theme will be Texas Country with music from Western Bling and lots of fun entertainment.
