Barney, age 5

Hi! My name is Barney. I was rescued as a young puppy, and, within a few months, I moved in with my family. They gave me lots of nicknames like Barn, Barn Dog and B. You’ve probably seen me out on walks with my brother Otis, but I get tired quickly (’cause my legs are so short), and I usually end up lying down in the grass to relax. I am always excited for any adventure like chasing the vacuum cleaner, catching lizards in the backyard, or wrestling with Otis, but my favorite thing to do is sleep all day long. It takes me a little while to warm up to strangers, but once I like you, there’s no getting rid of me! I love to snuggle, and being with my people is the best part of the day.
