Market Square Park hosts “A Night at Market Square” on Sat., Oct 12 beginning at 6 p.m. Now in its 11th year, this annual block party showcases downtown’s re-energized Historic District and offers visitors new ways to explore the neighborhood. Austin-based band El Tule headlines the Día de los Muertos-themed evening with live music at Market Square Park, with opening sets by students from Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) and David Beck’s Tejano Weekend.

In addition to live music and performances, Market Square Park will be activated with lawn games, art installations, a community altar and the La Catrina Night Market showcasing unique art, crafts and wares. Authentic Tex-Mex bites will be available for purchase at pop-up cantinas from El Big Bad, La Calle and La Fisheria.
