Indian Performing Arts Samskriti presents Incredible India – Bhoomi
This work explores the challenge of climate change through the lens of Indian philosophical thought, presented in front of paintings by artist Shanthi Chandrasekhar and scenic designs from Dylan Uremovich. India-based music composer Praveen Rao provides an innovative original score. This event at Miller Outdoor Theatre is on Friday night at 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public. 

Houston SummerJazz 2021: Diana Reeves
Grammy award-winning jazz vocalist Dianne Reeves comes to the Wortham Center on Friday night at 8 p.m. for a concert presented by DaCamera. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door ($42-57).

34th AIA Sandcastle Competition
On East Beach in Galveston, teams will compete to win the coveted Gold Bucket, along with other titles like Traditional Castle, Architectural Icon, Kidtastic: Nursery Rhymes, Texas Pride, Pop Culture: Video Games, Go for the Gold, and Animal Kingdom. The public is invited to watch the competition and cheer on the teams. The builds begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and judging begins at 3 p.m., with the awards ceremony directly after at 4:30 p.m. This event is free, but parking at East Beach is $15 cash only.

Classic Albums Live presents Fleetwood Mac Rumours
Classic Albums Lives comes to the Miller Outdoor Theatre on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. to perform one of the best-selling albums of all time, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. This performance is free and open to the public.

At Discovery Green on Saturday night, Flea by Night, an open-air market featuring local artisans and small business owners, will be open from 6 to 10 p.m.

Screen on the Green
At 8 p.m. this Saturday night, Discovery Green will be showing Abominable. Bring a blanket and a lawn chair to enjoy this movie on the Green. The event is free and open to the public.

Astros vs. Mariners
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Astros face the Mariners at Minute Maid Park.

Skeeters vs. Dodgers
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Skeeters take on the OKC Dodgers at Constellation Field. On Friday night, stay for fireworks after the game. And on Sunday, kids get to race the bases after the game.

Houston Dynamo vs. FC Dallas
On Saturday, the Dynamo face FC Dallas at BBVA Stadium.
