Labor Day Weekend at the Lone Star Flight Museum
Labor Day weekend at the Lone Star Flight Museum will include the exhibit Never Forget: Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, which features the names of all 2,977 victims and a portion of the World Trade Center I-Beam. In addition, hangar talks, tours, flight simulators, craft stations and eggstronaut are available. All museum exhibits and Labor Day weekend programs are free with a general admission ticket.
Members get in free.
Sat., Sept. 4:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Get up Close to Sikorsky S-76 Helicopter!
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Little Pilot Take & Make Crafts
11 a.m. – Sikorsky S-76 Helicopter Hangar Talk
1 p.m. – Living History: Doolittle Raiders Experience the life and story of Lt. Col. James “Jimmy” Doolittle with this special WWII presentation by LSFM Volunteer, Don Houk.
Sun., Sept. 5:
Noon – 3 p.m.: FREE Flight Simulators
Noon – 4 p.m.: Little Pilot Take & Make Crafts
Mon., Sept. 6: HITS FROM THE SUMMER!
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Little Pilot Take & Make Crafts
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Walk through the NASA Rover
11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Eggstronaut Drop: Put your engineering skills to the test and design the best anti-crack landing gear from a two-story drop. Drops every half-hour.
11 a.m. & 1 p.m.: F-100 Hangar Talk
