Learning from the best
Aspiring SBMSA soccer goalie Imogen Lily Cullip (pictured, right) learned from a professional at a players’ clinic held at the Spring Branch Education Center. SBMSA soccer players had the opportunity to sign up for a goalie clinic hosted by TTi Soccer, where they learned from Jane Campbell (pictured, left), goalkeeper for the Houston Dash and the United States Women’s National Soccer Team. Imogen, 5, a student at Pines Presbyterian School, plays soccer on the SBMSA 6U Shooting Stars team and was eager to learn the skills she will need on the field to block opponents’ goal shots. Working with Jane and other instructors, Imogen learned fundamentals, including catching, saving, and diving.
