Deep in the heart of Periwinkle

Carol Herron, Dr. ZoAnn Dreyer, Cara Delgado, Dr. Mary Nell Suell and her father, William P. Boone were among those who attended the Periwinkle Foundation’s Deep in the Heart of Periwinkle Gala at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. The evening raised more than $600,000 for the foundation’s camps, arts, and survivor programs that benefit children, teens, and families challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Entertainment for the night included a live longhorn, trick roper, mechanical bull, boot shining, silent and live auctions, wine and whiskey pulls, and a 360 photo booth. This year’s gala honored Dr. Mary Nell Suell and her father William P. Boone with the Gerson Award, which is presented to supporters who give their time and talents to turn dreams into reality for Periwinkle children.
