Keeping our bayous beautiful

Electra and Doug Elliott (pictured, from left) joined more than 150 other guests at the Houston Botanic Garden for the Bayou Preservation Association’s gala, Bayou Wonderland. In keeping with the tradition of highlighting Houston-area bayous during its galas, Bayou Wonderland had Sims Bayou as its backdrop. This beautiful waterway meanders through the 132-acre site, formerly the Glenbrook Golf Course, just south of downtown Houston. Guests were greeted by Alice and the Mad Hatter in the natural beauty of gorgeous flowers, plants, and trees, and raised nearly $60,000 to support the Bayou Preservation Association's CPR mission: to Celebrate, Protect, and Restore the natural richness of all our bayous and streams.
