A ballroom-dancing star

Presbyterian School sixth grader Adyson Preston (pictured) holds the ballroom dancing world title in the Junior 1 Division from the World Dance Organization’s American Dance Pro Competition. With only five years of dancing experience, Adyson has earned multiple distinctions. She began dancing at Motion Dance Center with jazz, technique, and hip-hop before being introduced to ballroom dancing. Adyson competes in International Latin (Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, and Samba), American Smooth (Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango), and American Rhythm (Cha Cha, American Rumba, Mambo, and Swing). Thanks to her dance mentor Karen Deffner, she has met multiple dance celebrities and has been trained by world-class professional Valentin Chmerkovskiy from Dancing with The Stars, Yulia Musikhina, Nino Langella, and many other ballroom legends.
