Supporting Ronald McDonald House
More than 700 guests gathered at the Hilton Americas to support Ronald McDonald House Houston’s 40 Years, Decades of Dedication. Board president Larry Hanrahan and Cookie Hanrahan, event chairs Allison and Dan Connally, Lisa Stone, Emily Crosswell, and David Stone enjoyed the evening that raised more than $1 million to support the home-away-from-home for families with seriously ill children being treated in the Texas Medical Center. Supporter Sean Kelley shared his emotional story of childhood cancer that was the motivation for his mother, Liz Kelley, to become one of the co-founders of Ronald McDonald House Houston. After a toast to 40 years by Larry Hanrahan, guests were treated to a dance routine with roller skaters, choreographed to the tune of “Dancing Queen,” and then hit the dance floor with music from Dry Water Band.
