The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green returns early this year! Starting Feb. 10 Houstonians can enjoy five weeks of roller-skating fun in Discovery Green at downtown Houston’s only outdoor roller rink. This year features a new and improved rink with a rubber subfloor for increased comfort and bright colors perfect for cool photos. See the full schedule below for details about Opening Night and special events throughout the season.

The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green will be open Friday, Feb. 10, through Friday, Mar. 17, 2023. Hours are: Monday – Thursday, 5 – 10 p.m.; Fridays 5 –11 p.m.; Saturdays and school holidays (Mar. 13-17) 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Sundays 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Opening Night
Friday, Feb. 10, 5 –11 p.m.
Enjoy music by Yung Chris the DJ! Daisies & Pancakes skate community & skate instructors will showcase their epic talents. The first 50 skaters in line skate for free and Forever Green members skate for free from 5 – 7 p.m. You can find roller skates and more at daisiesandpancakes.com.

Valentine’s Day
Tuesday, Feb. 14, 5 – 10 p.m.
Couples skate for $16. Grab a friend, a partner, or your special someone and get two tickets to skate for $16.

Rainbow on the Rink
Friday, Feb. 17, 7 – 10 p.m.
Enjoy a LGBTQ celebration at The Rink — Rolling at Discovery Green! Guests will enjoy music by DJ Joe Ross, performances by local drag queens Angelina DM Trailz, Reign LaRue & Ericka Sanchez and the ultimate roller-skating dance party. Admission is free; skating fees apply.
7:30–7:45 p.m. Ericka Sanchez performance (on stage)
8:30–8:45 p.m. Angelina DM Trailz performance (on rink)
9:30–9:45 p.m. Reign LaRue performance (on stage)

 Cheap Skate Nights   
Mondays, Feb. 13, 20 & 27; Mar. 6, 5–10 p.m.
On select Mondays, skate around the rink for just $8 plus tax per person.

 Time Warp Tuesdays  
Tuesdays, Feb. 14, 21 & 28; Mar. 7 & 14, 7–9 p.m.
Skate to your favorite songs from decades past curated by DJ Mohawk Steve.

Clutch City Wednesdays
Wednesdays, Feb. 15 & 22, Mar. 1 & 8, 5–10 p.m.
Skate to music by Houston artists and wear any Houston sports team gear to receive $2 off admission. Discounted tickets must be purchased in-person. If the desired time is fully-booked, there may be a wait.

College Student Night
Thursdays, Feb. 16 – Mar. 9, 5 – 10 p.m.
On Thursdays students can show their current college ID to receive $2 off admission.

 FUNomenal Fridays   
Fridays, Feb. 24; Mar. 3, 10 & 17, 7 – 10 p.m.
Music by DJ Monstaa, a light show and roller skating make for FUNomenal Friday nights.

Skate Party Saturdays
Saturdays, Feb. 18 & 25, 7-10 p.m.
Mar. 4, 4-7p.m.
Listen to the coolest pop hits by DJ Boris while skating on the rink.
