Celebrating Black History Month at Levy Park: ABIYOYO Performance with Twanda’s Theater

Celebrate Black History Month with Levy Park! This February, Levy Park and Young Audiences of Houston invites families to honor Black History Month with Mrs. Twanda’s theater performance of ABIYOYO on Saturday, February 18. This free event begins at 1 pm.

Audiences will dramatize a folktale story about a boy who plays the ukulele, a dad and his magic wand, and a hungry giant named Abiyoyo. The interactive performance will also compare and contrast African customs and traditions.
