Advice from a Bellaire mom

Mother of four boys Jennifer Tiras (pictured) published her first book, Sweetie…Squeeze Your Cheeks!, sharing her motherhood journey with practical, mom-to-mom advice for raising children. Tiras describes her experiences, from the pre-baby conception phase all the way through the college years, detailing plenty of humorous, heartwarming, and sometimes harrowing moments. The former teacher, who graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Houston, never intended to write a book but her husband, Scott, encouraged her to compile the lessons she has learned into a book for others. As for the inspiration for the book’s title, when Jennifer’s son Avery was a toddler and told her he needed a potty break, she said, “Okay, we will be at playgroup in a few minutes, squeeze your cheeks together and hold on.” Sweetie…Squeeze Your Cheeks! is available at amazon.com.
