Meant to be

Kali Lang and Sam Raphael (pictured) were married at The Arlo in Austin. The couple met on a blind date while both living in Washington, D.C., and although several family and friends would like to take credit for the matchmaking, they think it was “B’shert” (just meant to be). A ketubah ceremony was held before the couple exchanged vows. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Rabbi Will Hall and witnessed by the couple’s immediate family and bridal party, including Kali’s sister Nicole Lang, maid of honor, and Bailey Collings, best man. Special blessings were given to the couple by their parents, Linda and Michael Lang of Bellaire and Lynne Raphael of Atlanta, Georgia. The Texas Hill Country was the perfect backdrop for the wedding, with cocktails served on the back lawn at sunset and a seated dinner, followed by dancing to Matchmaker Band. After the wedding, the newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon to the Amalfi Coast and Greece before returning to their home in Austin.
