Pecan Bowl 2023

More than 100 members of The Wilchester Men's Club participated in the annual Pecan Bowl in December. The men come together each year for the event for fun, football, and philanthropy. Four teams are formed each year – Teams North, South, East, and West – based on where members live in the neighborhood. Beyond the on-field competition, club members take pride in the philanthropic commitment, raising a substantial $20,000 for the Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) and $20,000 for Family Point Resources this year. Team East and Team North each secured victory in their semifinal matches and celebrated alongside their wives and children for a good cause. Team East took home the championship title in a nail-biting championship game against Team North on Dec. 16. The Pecan Bowl is not only a sports spectacle; it is a community-driven endeavor, where the spirit of competition is rooted in generosity, making the Pecan Bowl a fun tradition year after year.
